What we do, and what we do not
- We distribute mutual fund schemes: we explain products, help with KYC, applications, SIPs, STPs, SWPs, nominations and service requests, and review your holdings with you.
- We deal only in the regular plans of schemes. Every scheme also has a direct plan with a lower expense ratio, which you can buy directly from the fund house without a distributor. The difference in expense ratio is mainly the distributor's commission.
- We are not a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser or Research Analyst. Any guidance we give is incidental to distribution, as permitted for mutual fund distributors, and is not investment advice for a fee.
- We do not offer stocks, derivatives, portfolio management, guaranteed-return or fixed-income products of our own, and we never handle your money: all payments go directly from your bank account to the fund house.
- We never ask for your passwords, OTPs or PINs.
Commission disclosure
As required by SEBI and AMFI, we disclose how we are paid:
- We receive trail commission from asset management companies (AMCs) on the regular-plan investments made through us, for as long as the investment stays invested. SEBI does not allow upfront commission; we receive none.
- The commission is paid by the AMC out of the scheme's total expense ratio (TER). It is already included in the regular plan's expense ratio and NAV; you are not billed separately and we charge no fee to you.
- Rates differ by fund house, scheme and category (they are typically higher for equity schemes than for debt and liquid schemes) and can change during the year. They are set by each AMC within SEBI's TER limits.
- The actual commission paid on your investments is shown, scheme by scheme, in the Consolidated Account Statement (CAS) sent to you by CAMS, KFintech, NSDL or CDSL.
- We will tell you the commission we receive on any scheme we discuss with you, in writing, before you invest and at any time you ask. Write to tenxinvestmentservice@gmail.com.
- Where AMFI or SEBI require it, we disclose commissions received across schemes and fund houses in the format they prescribe.
Conflicts of interest
Because we are paid by the fund houses, and rates differ between schemes, we have a potential conflict of interest. We manage it by following the AMFI Code of Conduct for intermediaries and SEBI's rules: we consider your needs, risk profile and goals first, we do not recommend schemes for the commission they pay, and we do not churn portfolios. We do not receive gifts, trips or other incentives that SEBI does not allow.
About the content on this site
- Market summaries, stories, calculators, the risk quiz and the money health check-up are general information for education. They are not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security or scheme, and they do not consider your personal situation.
- Some market summaries are drafted with the help of automated tools from public sources (NSE, BSE, AMFI, RBI and published news reports) and checked by rules before publishing. Figures can occasionally be wrong or late; check the source before acting on any figure.
- Calculators use the return you choose or an assumed return. Returns from market-linked investments are not guaranteed.
- News headlines link to their publishers. We do not write or endorse them.
- Fund data (NAVs, holdings, returns) comes from AMFI, fund houses and public data services, and may be delayed.
Risk factors
Mutual Fund investments are subject to market risks, read all scheme related documents carefully. The NAV of a scheme can go up or down with the securities markets, interest rates and other factors. Past performance may or may not be sustained in future and is not a guarantee of future returns. Please read the Scheme Information Document, Statement of Additional Information and Key Information Memorandum of a scheme before investing.

This site may show advertisements served by Google AdSense. Ads are chosen by Google, not by us, and an ad is not an endorsement by TenX Investment of any product, service or company. See the privacy policy for how ads use cookies.
KYC and investor charter
All investors must complete KYC with a KRA. Our investor charter sets out what you can expect from us and from the fund houses, your rights and responsibilities, and the service timelines SEBI sets. See also SEBI's investor website and AMFI's investor resources. Complaints can be raised as set out on our grievance redressal page.
